James has a wide range of experience in coaching populations from different sporting backgrounds across Australia and Canada. He has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 18 years as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Having gained his degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2019 and his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2022 from the University of South Australia, he has carried this experience into the clinic. He has a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and patient education while utilising a combination of manual ‘hands-on’ therapy, dry needling, and a heavy bias towards exercise-based rehabilitation, including Pilates and gym-based programs.

James has worked alongside different age and sporting levels as the strength coach for the North Adelaide Roosters under 18’s and for the senior SANFL squad during the 2012-2014 seasons. James gained his Certificate IV in Matwork Pilates through Polestar 2014, changing the way he trained clients and incorporating stability-based training into his programming. During his time with the Adelaide Crows for the 2019 season, he was the strength and conditioning coach for the development squad. After countless years coaching at a local CrossFit box and gymnastics at a YMCA, it seemed only the next logical step to continue learning and helping individuals by studying Physiotherapy.

James has had the opportunity to do what he does best and help instil belief into a person wanting more from their current fitness position. He has worked alongside complete novices and with elite-level athletes, ranging from 5 to 85-year-olds. James believes that communication is key to successful outcomes with patients in injury reduction or rehabilitation, through honest and open communication, education, and understanding of your injury. One thing James’ has noticed during his time working alongside his patients is they all share the same common ground: they want to get better at what they do and avoid injury.

James also conducts our signature form check analysis: the exact blueprint you’ve been looking for! If you are interested in starting your strength training journey Read More.
